Construction Manager – E&I
Experience
15–20 years (Minimum 10 years in Oil & Gas / LNG / Petrochemical Projects)
Job Purpose
To lead, manage, and supervise all Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) construction activities at site in accordance with ADNOC specifications, Technip standards, project schedule, HSE requirements, and approved drawings.
Key Responsibilities
- Construction Management
- Plan, coordinate, and manage all E&I construction works across multiple work fronts.
- Ensure execution as per IFC drawings, method statements, project specifications, and ADNOC codes.
- Lead daily/weekly site coordination meetings with contractor, subcontractors, and other disciplines.
- Monitor progress, productivity, manpower allocation, equipment availability, and work sequence.
- Technical Responsibilities
- Review and approve E&I installation procedures, method statements, ITPs, material submittals, and shop drawings.
- Oversee installation of LV/MV switchgear, transformers, UPS, MCC, cable trays, cabling, grounding & lightning protection, control systems, DCS, SIS, ESD, F&G, field instruments, transmitters, analyzers, junction boxes, instrument air lines, marshalling cabinets, panels.
- Ensure compliance with ADNOC Engineering Standards (ADES), TI standards, IEC, NEC.
- Coordinate FAT, SAT, loop checking, pre-commissioning & commissioning support.
- Quality Assurance
- Ensure all E&I works meet project quality requirements.
- Manage NCRs, surveillance findings, and quality inspections.
- Coordinate with QA/QC team for inspections, testing, and documentation.
- HSE Compliance
- Ensure strict implementation of ADNOC HSE rules and site safety requirements.
- Conduct toolbox talks, hazard identifications, and safety walk-downs.
- Interface & Coordination
- Liaise with Civil, Mechanical, and Piping teams for work interfaces.
- Coordinate with vendor representatives during installation and commissioning.
- Support project controls in updating progress reports and construction schedules.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Instrumentation Engineering.
- 15–20 years’ experience in Oil & Gas EPC projects (Mandatory).
- Minimum 10+ years in LNG / Gas Processing / Refinery mega-projects.
- Strong knowledge of ADNOC standards and Technip execution practice.
- Excellent leadership, planning, and contractor management skills.
- Ability to manage large construction teams and multiple site locations.
