Etihad Engineering is seeking a Component Technician to perform repair and overhaul of wheels and brakes, including disassembly, assembly, cleaning and testing per the component maintenance manual. The role requires working with the shop team to maintain housekeeping and safety standards.

The ideal candidate holds a technical diploma and at least 2 years’ aviation maintenance experience, preferably in component maintenance.

Qualifikationen

• Technical school diploma in a related field.
• A minimum of 2 years’ experience in aviation maintenance, preferably component maintenance.

Aufgaben

• Perform wheel and brake maintenance (cleaning, assembly, and disassembly) in accordance with the relevant component maintenance manual and under the supervision of approval holder.
• Maintain shop housekeeping and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Report hazards, potential audit findings, or non-functional systems to the line manager.
• Clean and return tools after use and manage tool room readiness.
• Assist shop approval holders by collecting parts from the warehouse.
• Collaborate with wheel and brake shop staff to meet daily targets.
• Perform other related tasks as assigned by the line manager.

Component Technician will be responsible for carrying out repair or overhaul wheels and brakes by performing disassembly, assembly, cleaning, lubrication, and testing in accordance with the relevant component maintenance manual.

Responsibilities

• Perform wheel and brake maintenance (cleaning, assembly, and disassembly) in accordance with the relevant component maintenance manual and under the supervision of approval holder.
• Work with the shop team to ensure housekeeping requirements are met all the time.
• Report hazard, possible audit findings, or system that is not functioning well, or human factor issues (norms, pressure, etc…) to the line manager whenever noticed.
• Clean and return collected tools from cabinets and tool room after every use.
• Assist wheel and brake shop approval holders by collecting parts from the warehouse.
• Work in harmony with wheel and brake shop staff to achieve daily target.
• Perform other related assignments as you may be required to execute from time to time by your line manager.

Qualifications

• Technical school diploma on related field.
• A minimum of 2 years’ experience working in aviation maintenance environment, preferably component maintenance.
