Why this role?

KONE is seeking a skilled and experienced Compliance Specialist responsible for the implementation, maintenance, and improvement of KONE’s Global Ethics & Compliance Program in KMTA (KONE Middle East, Türkiye, and Africa). Supports all activities to promote a compliance‑oriented culture, to protect KONE’s reputation and business interests, and to ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations. Manages issues related to compliance and legal risks, and provides recommendations on all compliance matters, including policies and complex problems. The role will be based in Dubai or Turkey and report directly to the Compliance Manager, KMTA.

What will you be doing?
  • Design and provide training on compliance matters for the organization to ensure that KONE’s business is conducted in accordance with all relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies and guidelines, and in line with KONE’s global requirements.
  • Supports the implementation and improvement of global compliance policies locally under the direction of Global and APM Compliance.
  • Conducts compliance risk assessments at a country level, develops action plans based on findings, and follows up with the business to ensure actions are put into place.
  • Supports and promotes the local operation of KONE’s channels for reporting actual or suspected compliance violations.
  • Conducts internal investigations related to various compliance issues when required.
  • Provides advice to the employees and management on compliance‑related topics, including anti‑bribery and anti‑corruption issues.
  • Promotes a compliance‑oriented culture and mindset among employees and partners of KONE units in the region.
  • Initiates internal awareness activities related to the Code of Conduct for Employees, Suppliers, and Distributors.
  • Initiates internal communication campaigns to raise compliance awareness.
  • Supports compliance governance processes in the region to ensure management is setting the right tone and key compliance initiatives are being cascaded.
  • Analyses and gives proposals for KONE's local current or proposed business activities, policies, business practices, and transactions to ensure that they comply with all relevant laws and regulations.
  • Supports HR and management in the regulation of conflicts of interest.
  • Supports with other compliance‑related matters as per the directions of Global Compliance and APM Compliance.
Are you the one?
  • Master’s degree in business, law, finance, or a related field.
  • 2–3 years of relevant compliance experience, ideally within large international companies.
  • Experience conducting internal investigations.
  • Background in internal controls or internal audit is an advantage.
  • Strong understanding of best practices, administrative procedures, and regulations related to anti‑corruption and broader compliance topics.
  • Ability to work independently with a proactive, long‑term approach.
  • Excellent communication skills, with experience engaging stakeholders at all organizational levels.
  • Strong stakeholder management and business partnering capabilities.
  • Fluency in English and Turkish (written and spoken) is mandatory.
  • Willingness to travel frequently within the Middle East, Türkiye, and Africa.
