Compliance and Governance Manager

Job Description:

Our client, a prominent group of companies in Dubai, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Compliance and Governance Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the organization adheres to all regulatory requirements, manages corporate governance policies, and maintains high standards of quality and compliance through the implementation of Six Sigma, ISO standards, and internal quality audits.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive compliance and governance framework that aligns with local laws and international standards.
• Oversee the implementation and maintenance of ISO standards, ensuring continuous compliance and certification.
• Lead Six Sigma initiatives to improve process efficiency and reduce operational risks.
• Conduct regular quality audits and assessments to identify compliance risks and areas for improvement.
• Advise senior management on compliance and governance matters, providing insights and recommendations for action.
• Develop and deliver training programs on compliance, governance, and quality standards.
• Liaise with regulatory authorities and ensure all reporting and communication are timely and accurate.
• Investigate and resolve compliance-related issues, implementing corrective actions as necessary.
• Stay current with regulatory changes and adjust the compliance strategy to ensure ongoing adherence.
• Prepare and present detailed reports to the board of directors on compliance, governance, and quality management activities.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Law, Business Administration, Quality Management, or a related field; a Masters degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CCEP, CCO, CGEIT, Six Sigma, Quality Auditor) are preferred.
• A minimum of 7 years of experience in compliance, governance, and quality management roles, with at least 3 years in a managerial position.
• Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks and ISO implementation in the UAE.
• Proven experience in Six Sigma methodologies and quality auditing.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills.
• Strong leadership and communication abilities, with the capacity to influence and drive change.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification as a Six Sigma Black Belt or Quality Auditor.
• Experience in managing compliance and governance across multiple industries.
• Familiarity with corporate governance best practices and ethical standards.
