In 2017, our founders started Sarwa due to a lack of financial services offered to most of the world, and out of a need to help empower people in the region to invest in their financial future. Sarwa is poised to continue growing into the go-to platform for people to grow their wealth. We do this through expert, affordable and easy investing. We’re a small team working on the region’s first and fastest growing investment and personal finance platform, making investing easy, low-cost and transparent, with a human touch woven into every step of the process. We are a remote-first team. Where you choose to work is up to you — we have an office in Abu Dhabi that you can utilize as often or little as you’d like.
Responsibilities
- Design and execute a comprehensive community engagement strategy aligned with Sarwa’s brand voice and business goals.
- Actively manage and grow Sarwa’s presence across key platforms, keeping a finger on the pulse of online conversations.
- Respond to comments and DMs with tact, humor, and wit—every comment or DM should feel on-brand and intentional.
- Turn follower interactions into high-impact moments and content ideas.
- Collaborate with our content, advisory, and support teams to ensure a unified tone and experience for our community.
- Monitor conversations, identify sentiment trends, and deliver insights to internal teams.
- Build relationships with community champions, clients, and affiliates.
- Organize and lead virtual events, AMAs, or community meetups to strengthen community ties.
- Track performance through engagement metrics, sentiment analysis, and community health indicators.
- Stay ahead of platform trends and internet culture to help Sarwa remain relevant, sharp, and human online.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of experience as a Community Manager, Social Media Manager, or similar role.
- Experience writing about finance, investing, and/or markets.
- Exceptional writing and communication skills in English—ideally, you think of yourself as a writer first.
- Proven track record of growing communities or creating viral social moments.
- Experience managing online communities across multiple platforms.
- Deep familiarity with internet culture, social trends, and the finance/investing space.
- Demonstrated ability to balance brand tone with creativity, humor, and authenticity.
- Ability to use tools like Sprout, Google, or other platforms to track performance and extract insights.
- Experience working cross-functionally in fast-paced environments.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, PR, or a related field.
Considered a plus
- Fluency in languages other than Arabic.
- Experience organizing and moderating in-person events.
- A Master’s degree or certifications in strategic marketing or similar.
