Overview

We are seeking a talented and dedicated Commis I - Cold Kitchen to join our culinary team in Dubai United Arab Emirates. As a key member of our kitchen staff you will assist in the preparation of cold dishes salads and appetizers contributing to our commitment to culinary excellence and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in preparing mise-en-place for salads appetizers dressings and cold platters
  • Support the creation of buffet presentations and à la carte cold items
  • Ensure consistent food quality portion control and adherence to recipes and plating guidelines for cold dishes
  • Maintain proper storage and freshness of ingredients
  • Keep workstations clean and organized in compliance with HACCP and local regulations
  • Assist senior chefs in daily operations and contribute to a smooth workflow
  • Monitor and record temperatures of refrigerators and cold rooms
  • Manage stock levels and report shortages to senior chefs
  • Uphold safety hygiene and sanitation standards at all times
  • Collaborate with other kitchen sections during service
  • Contribute to menu development and seasonal dish creation
Qualifications
  • 1-2 years of experience in a similar role within a hotel or restaurant setting
  • Solid understanding of culinary techniques particularly in cold kitchen preparations
