IHG Hotels & Resorts is seeking a dedicated Commis Chef (I) for Holiday Inn & Suites Dubai Science Park, located in Dubai. The role involves helping our culinary team with day-to-day prep, mise-en-place, and ensuring high standards of hygiene and quality across service periods.

The ideal candidate has culinary school training and experience in a restaurant or 4/5* hotel setting, with a commitment to delivering top-quality meals.

• Prepare mise-en-place for daily operations.

• Prepare food, beverage, and equipment for service.

Holiday Inn & Suites Dubai Science Park, is looking for a dedicated Commis Chef (I) to join our amazing culinary team! Ideally located in the heart of Dubai Science Park, in the most sought after residential area of Dubai. Minutes away from mega malls, magnificent Jumeirah Beaches, world’s leading tourist attractions and Parks, auto drome and over 5 championship golf courses. Holiday Inn & Suites at Dubai Science Park includes 240 hotel rooms and suites and 84 one-bedroom apartments, anchor F&B offerings and an extensive 1026sqm cutting-edge meeting and events facilities.

Your day to day

• Prepares all mise-en-place for day to day operation
• Maintains a healthy and hygienic work area
• Communicates politely and display courtesy to guests and internal customers
• Support team with mise-en-place and storage pick ups
• Communicates to his/her superior any difficulties, guest or internal customer comment and other relevant information
• Establishes and maintains effective employee working relationships
• Attends and participates in daily briefings and other meetings as scheduled
• Attends and participates in training sessions as scheduled
• Prepares in advance food, beverage, material and equipment needed for the service
• Cleans and re-sets his/her working area
• Performs related duties and special projects as assigned
• Implements the hotel and department regulations, policies and procedures including but not limited to:
• house rules and regulation
• health and safety
• grooming
• quality
• hygiene and cleanliness

• similar experience working in either a restaurant or a 4/5* hotel environment
