Black & Grey HR is recruiting for a globally recognized logistics services company. Our client is looking for a Commercial Manager who will be responsible for supporting the Commercial and Business Development teams in identifying, evaluating, and executing business opportunities within the logistics and freight forwarding sector. The role involves conducting market research and analysis, preparing business plans and forecasts, and supporting the implementation of strategies to drive revenue growth and strengthen the company’s presence in the UAE, particularly in the Northern Emirates region.

Responsibilities
  • Business Development & Strategy: Assist the Business Development Manager in setting strategic objectives, action plans, and performance targets.
  • Business Development & Strategy: Identify and evaluate profitable commercial opportunities and key business value drivers.
  • Business Development & Strategy: Conduct detailed market research and analysis to develop business plans with cost estimates and revenue projections.
  • Business Development & Strategy: Proactively identify and secure new business opportunities aligned with the company’s infrastructure and service portfolio.
  • Business Development & Strategy: Prepare commercial proposals, negotiate terms, and support contract finalization with clients and partners.
  • Client & Account Management: Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing customers through effective account management.
  • Client & Account Management: Identify opportunities to expand services and maximize customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Client & Account Management: Work closely with clients to gather accurate forecasts and budgetary inputs for commercial planning.
  • Client & Account Management: Liaise with service providers and internal departments to ensure smooth operations and delivery of agreed service levels.
  • Market Intelligence & Partnerships: Evaluate global and regional market trends to identify potential alliances, joint ventures, and MOUs.
  • Market Intelligence & Partnerships: Collect, interpret, and communicate market intelligence to provide competitive insights for the business.
  • Market Intelligence & Partnerships: Stay informed on current market conditions, freight rates, and trends, and update clients on factors affecting their operations.
  • Collaboration & Reporting: Coordinate with the client’s other business units to identify and leverage joint commercial opportunities.
  • Collaboration & Reporting: Provide timely reports and updates on client performance, market developments, and business progress to the Commercial Manager.
  • Collaboration & Reporting: Support the Commercial Manager with official tasks and special assignments as required.
  • People Development & Compliance: Contribute to staff development initiatives and competency-building activities within the team.

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • 5–8 years of relevant experience in commercial or business development roles within logistics, shipping, freight forwarding or trading.
  • Strong understanding of UAE logistics and freight forwarding market, especially in the Northern Emirates.
  • Demonstrated experience in preparing business plans, market analysis, and client negotiations.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and CRM tools.
