Job summary

JobCenter in Abu Dhabi is seeking an experienced CNC Operator to join our manufacturing team. You will set up and operate CNC machines according to engineering drawings and sample parts.

Responsibilities include selecting cutting tools, adjusting tool offsets, programming paths, and inspecting finished parts with precision instruments. The role requires reading drawings, attention to quality, and the ability to work with minimal supervision; overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years' experience in CNC machine operation.
• Experience in setting up and operating CNC machines.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Good understanding of machine shop mathematics.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Team player attitude with excellent communication skills.
• Knowledge in programming is an advantage.
• Willingness to work overtime when needed.

Job Description

The main responsibility of the CNC Operator is to set up and operate computers numerically controlled (CNC) machines according to instructions provided by engineering drawings, blueprints and sample parts. He/she will be responsible for selecting cutting tools, adjusting tool offsets and programming cutting paths. The operator must also ensure that products meet quality standards by inspecting finished parts using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers etc. As well as this, he/she will be required to troubleshoot problems associated with the operation of the machine while adhering to safety procedures at all times.
