Job Description

The Sales Executive – Government Segment is responsible for driving revenue from UAE Government, Semi‑Government, and institutional accounts for The First Group Hospitality’s Dubai hotel portfolio. The role focuses on building strong relationships with key government stakeholders, identifying new business opportunities, securing accommodation and event‑related bookings, and positioning the hotel portfolio as a preferred choice for government travellers. The ideal candidate is proactive, well‑connected, and knowledgeable about government procurement processes and travel requirements within the UAE.

  • Develop, maintain, and grow a portfolio of Government and Semi‑Government accounts to achieve targeted room nights and revenue objectives.

  • Identify new business opportunities within the segment and convert these into long‑term partnerships.

  • Conduct regular sales calls, presentations, and site inspections for key stakeholders and decision‑makers.

  • Prepare and submit RFPs, tenders, and formal proposals in alignment with government procurement guidelines.

  • Maintain accurate account records, sales activities, and revenue forecasts within the hotel CRM.

  • Coordinate with Revenue, Reservations, and Operations teams to ensure seamless service delivery for government guests and delegations.

  • Represent the hotels at trade shows, exhibitions, and networking events relevant to the Government segment.

  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and developments within the public sector to identify opportunities and risks.

  • Ensure all contracting, rate loading, and communication with government entities are accurate, timely, and compliant with internal policies.

  • Support the Associate Director of Sales – Government and management with segment strategy development, promotional plans, performance reports, and other assigned tasks.

Desired Skill & Expertise
  • Proven experience in hotel sales, preferably within the UAE market and specifically within the Government segment.

  • Strong understanding of local government structures, procurement procedures, and preferred travel channels.

  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship‑building skills.

  • Professional presentation abilities and confidence in engaging with senior government officials.

  • Strong organisational skills with the capacity to manage multiple accounts and deadlines simultaneously.

  • Proficiency in MS Office and hotel CRM systems such as Opera, Delphi, or similar platforms.

  • Fluency in both English and Arabic is required.

  • Ability to work independently, proactively, and collaboratively within a team environment.

  • UAE driving licence preferred.
