Job summary

Amazon Web Services EMEA Dubai FZ Branch is seeking an experienced Solutions Architect to partner with customers and AWS teams to craft scalable cloud architectures and drive revenue growth across enterprise customers. You will help migrate workloads, educate customers, and build broad mindshare for AWS in the Middle East region.

The role requires strong technical depth plus business acumen, with travel between 25% and 50% across Middle East countries, and a base in Dubai/Abu Dhabi.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in software or Internet industries.
• 4+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures.
• 2+ years of experience in designing or consulting on cloud-based solutions.

Responsibilities

• In partnership with the sales team, formulate and execute a sales strategy to exceed revenue objectives through the adoption of AWS.
• As a key member of the sales team, ensure success in building and migrating applications, software and services on the AWS platform.
• Educate customers on the value proposition of AWS, and participate in deep architectural discussions to ensure solutions are designed for successful deployment in the cloud.
• Conduct one-to-few and one-to-many training sessions to transfer knowledge to customers considering or already using AWS.
• Capture and share best-practice knowledge amongst the AWS solutions architect community.
• Author or contribute to AWS customer-facing publications such as whitepapers.
• Build deep relationships with senior technical individuals within customers to enable cloud advocacy.
• Act as a technical liaison between customers, service engineering teams and support.
