About the job Clinical Psychology ProfessorCity University Ajman is seeking a qualified, dedicated Associate Professor in Clinical Psychology to join the College of Humanities. The ideal candidate will contribute to undergraduate teaching, field training supervision, academic research, and accreditation compliance. Additionally, this role will play a key supporting part in the university's strategic plans to establish a postgraduate Master's Program in Clinical Psychology.Key Responsibilities

• Teaching & Supervision: Deliver high-quality undergraduate courses in core clinical and general psychology areas, supervise student graduation projects, and oversee clinical field training placements.
• Research & Development: Maintain an active research agenda, publish high-impact scholarly work, and apply quantitative and qualitative research methods to advance mental health scholarship.
• Program & Master's Development: Contribute to curriculum development and program design for the planned Master's Program in Clinical Psychology, including research supervision frameworks.
• Accreditation & Governance: Support academic quality assurance, institutional reviews, and CAA accreditation requirements for the Psychology program.
• Clinical & Community Engagement: Assist in building institutional partnerships with healthcare centers and local institutions to enhance clinical training and community mental health initiatives.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Education: PhD in Clinical Psychology or Health Psychology from an accredited, recognized university.
• Clinical Expertise: Demonstrated expertise in psychological assessment, diagnosis, and evidence-based interventions, with a strong focus on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT).
• Research & Assessment Skills: Proficiency in psychometric assessment and both quantitative and qualitative research methodologies, backed by relevant scholarly research publications.
• Academic Background: Demonstrated track record of successful teaching at the university level and field training supervision.

Preferred Qualifications

• Licensure & Practice: Valid clinical license (or immediate eligibility) from UAE health authorities (MOHAP, DHA, or DoH) with relevant practical clinical experience.
• Experience with institutional accreditation frameworks and postgraduate curriculum design.
