Job summary

Tanqeeb is seeking a Clinical Psychologist in the UAE with a DOH license and a Master’s degree in clinical psychology to conduct diagnostic interviews and provide individual, group and family therapies.

The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of clinical experience, be proficient in English with Arabic language skills desirable, and adhere to international guidelines and ethical standards in patient care.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in clinical psychology from a recognized college or university.
• At least 2 years' experience in clinical psychology.
• Valid DOH license as Clinical Psychologist in UAE; HAAD license to practice in Abu Dhabi.
• Comprehensive knowledge of medical ethics and patient confidentiality.
• Working knowledge of intelligence, achievement, interest and personality tests.

Responsibilities

• Conducts psychiatric interviews and collects data for diagnostic purposes.
• Provides psychotherapy including individual, group and family therapies.
• Offers counseling for couples with marital conflicts.
• Applies behavioral methods and plans therapy frequency, intensity and duration.
• Performs psychometric testing for diagnosis and evaluation.
• Engages in research and educational activities to improve practice.
• Keeps current with advances in psychology to guide patient care.
• Complies with international guidelines, HAAD/Joint Commission norms and safety policies.
