Aldar Education is seeking a UAE National Classroom Assistant to join Muna British Academy on Saadiyat Island, Abu Dhabi, commencing in August 2026. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend our UAE National Recruitment Event at the campus.

As we expand our provision from FS1 to Year 8 with plans to Year 13, the successful candidate will support pupils in the classroom and contribute to the school’s ethos and safeguarding commitments in a premier educational setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum secondary school certificate is required.
• At least two years of experience in a school setting.
• UAE National status with relevant educational qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Provide classroom support for pupils inside and outside class to enable participation in activities.
• Assist in implementing individual education programmes and monitor progress.
• Support pupils with additional needs and help develop social skills.
• Assist teachers with pupil records and display materials.

Responsibilities

Main Duties:

• Provide support for individual pupils / groups of pupils inside and outside the classroom to enable them to fully participate in a range of activities during the school dayand to provide for their social, emotional and physical well‑being
• Be pro‑active in matters relating to health and safety
• Assist in the implementation of individual education programmes forindividual pupils / groups ofpupilsand help monitor their progress
• Support pupils with additional support needs e.g. emotional and behavioural difficulties and help to develop their social skills
• Assist class teachers with maintainingpupilrecords
• Prepare and present displays ofpupils’ work
• Support class teachers in photocopying and other tasks in order to support teaching
• Support the aims of the school; comply with the requirements of health and safety, other relevant legislation and school policies.

Specific Duties:

• Academic assistance.
• Giving group instruction as prescribed by the teacher/providing individual instruction.
• Demonstrating various instructional activities.
• Monitoring work assigned by teacher – checking and correcting pupils’ work while in progress.
• Keeping pupils on task.
• Praising and reinforcing achievements of pupils/reporting pupil progress to teacher.
• Reorganising materials at the end of the day.
• Checking attendance.
• Supervising pupils in the classrooms and other locations.
• Participating in development of behaviour policy/promoting pupils self esteem.
• Disciplining misbehaviour in line with the whole school policy.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications :

• Minimum secondary school certificate.
• At least two-year experience in a school setting.
• English language skills according to the school curriculum

Minimum Experience:

• UAE Nationalwith a minimum secondary school certificate / Bachelors.

• Previous experience working with students whom English is not their first language.
