Job summary

GCG Engineering Services in Abu Dhabi is seeking an experienced Cladder to support HVAC and piping projects for ADNOC and other clients. The role focuses on installing, fabricating and fitting sheet metal cladding over insulated ducts, vessels, and piping to meet drawings and site requirements.

You will read layouts and P&IDs, coordinate with insulation crews, and ensure weatherproofing, safety and quality on active construction sites across Abu Dhabi. On-site shifts and overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience as a Cladder in HVAC/oil & gas projects.
• Vocational training or trade certification or relevant certification.
• Proven experience in cladding HVAC ductwork, piping, vessels and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Install cladding over HVAC ducts and piping per approved drawings.
• Fabricate and fit cladding sections from sheet metal.
• Read HVAC layouts, isometrics, P&IDs, GA drawings.
• Coordinate with insulation crews for proper installation.
• Ensure weatherproofing, sealing and finishing of cladding.
• Work on-site at ADNOC project locations in Abu Dhabi.

Job Description

• Install aluminium, stainless steel (SS), galvanized iron (GI), and other sheet metal cladding over insulated HVAC ducts, chilled water lines, process piping, valves, flanges, vessels, tanks, and equipment.
• Measure, fabricate, cut, bend, roll, and fit cladding sheets according to approved drawings and site requirements.
• Install removable cladding boxes for valves, strainers, flanges, and other maintenance-access components.
• Fabricate elbows, reducers, tees, end caps, valve boxes, and custom cladding sections using sheet metal.
• Secure cladding using rivets, screws, bands, pop rivets, sealants, and approved fastening systems.
• Ensure proper overlap, sealing, weatherproofing, and finishing of all cladding installations.
• Read and interpret HVAC layouts, piping isometrics, P&IDs, GA drawings, and insulation drawings.
• Coordinate with insulation crews to ensure insulation is correctly installed before cladding.
• Repair or replace damaged cladding during construction, pre-commissioning, or maintenance activities.
• Use sheet metal fabrication tools and equipment safely and efficiently.

• Proven experience in cladding HVAC ductwork, chilled water piping, process piping, vessels, and mechanical equipment.
