Job summary

KN International Architects and Engineers LLC is seeking an experienced Civil Inspector for a villa project in Liwa, Abu Dhabi. The role focuses on inspecting civil, building, and precast works to ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, and quality standards.

The candidate should have UAE villa/building construction experience, precast exposure, site inspection, and strong quality control skills. Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering is required.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in civil inspection, villa/building construction and precast works.

Responsibilities

• Conduct site inspections of villa/building works to ensure compliance with drawings and specs.
• Inspect civil and structural works: foundations, concrete, blockwork, plastering, waterproofing, finishes.
• Inspect precast elements and installation for proper placement and connections.
• Monitor construction activities and verify material quality and workmanship.
• Review Inspection Requests (IRs) submitted by contractors.
• Identify defects, prepare inspection reports, and follow up on corrective actions.
• Review submittals, method statements, and risk assessments for civil works.
• Monitor contractor activities for quality and HSE compliance.
• Maintain records of inspections, progress and quality issues.
• Coordinate with engineers, contractors and stakeholders to resolve site issues.
• Attend progress meetings and report inspection findings.

Job Summary

KN International is seeking an experienced Civil Inspector for a villa construction project in Liwa, Abu Dhabi. The role involves inspecting and monitoring civil, building, and precast works to ensure compliance with approved drawings, project specifications, quality standards, and applicable regulations. Candidates must have relevant UAE experience in villa or building construction, precast works, site inspection, and quality control.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct site inspections of villa and building construction works to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and project requirements.

Inspect civil and structural works, including foundations, concrete works, blockwork, plastering, waterproofing, and finishing activities.

Inspect precast elements and installation works to ensure proper placement, alignment, connections, and compliance with approved drawings and specifications.

Monitor construction activities and verify the quality of materials, workmanship, and construction methods.

Review and respond to Inspection Requests (IRs) submitted by contractors.

Identify defects and non-conformities, prepare inspection reports, and follow up on corrective actions.

Review contractor submittals, method statements, and risk assessments related to civil, building, and precast works.

Monitor contractor activities to ensure compliance with project quality and HSE requirements.

Maintain accurate records of site inspections, daily activities, construction progress, and quality issues.

Coordinate with engineers, contractors, and other project stakeholders to resolve site-related issues.

Attend progress meetings and provide updates on construction progress, inspection findings, and quality concerns.

Required Qualifications & Skills

Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.

Minimum 5 years of experience in civil inspection, with experience in villa/building construction and precast works .

Strong knowledge of civil and structural works, concrete construction, precast installation, and building finishes.

Experience in site inspections, quality control, and construction documentation.

Familiarity with UAE construction standards, specifications, and applicable regulations.

Good communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
