Job summary

Parsons is seeking a Civil Inspector (Roads & Infrastructure) in Abu Dhabi, UAE. You will surveil inspection activities to ensure compliance with codes, standards, drawings and specifications, while contributing to road, drainage, utilities and street lighting projects.

The role requires a Diploma or Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering, at least 3 years of experience in infrastructure supervision, and strong ability to read blueprints and interpret specifications.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in construction supervision of infrastructure projects including road works and utilities.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, construction specifications and processes related to civil inspection.
• Strong analytic capabilities and the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Perform continuous surveillance of inspection activities to ensure compliance with codes, standards, drawings and specifications.
• Supervise construction/maintenance of roads and associated improvements (curb and gutter, street, sidewalk, landscaping).
• Oversee drainage work, utilities, traffic control, lighting.
• Oversee installation of electrical equipment for traffic signals, ramp metering and street lighting.
• Supervise irrigation, planting, signage installation and removal.
• Oversee building and facility construction and site development.
• Take project photographs daily and organize filings.

Civil Inspector (Roads & Infrastructure)

Abu DHabi, UAE

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Civil Inspector to join our team! In this role you will get to performs continuous surveillance of assigned inspection activities to ensure compliance with all applicable codes, standards, drawings and specifications.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Construction/Maintenance of roads, and other associated improvements (curb and gutter, street, sidewalk, landscaping).
• Drainage work, Utilities, traffic control, lighting.
• Installation of electrical equipment related to traffic signals, ramp metering and street lighting.
• Irrigation and planting, roadway and overhead sign removal and installation.
• Installation of temporary and permanent signs and delineation.
• Building and facility construction and associated site development.
• Taking project photographs on a daily basis and filing them

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in construction supervision of infrastructure projects including road works, utilities.
