Job summary

A leading civil construction company in Dubai is seeking an Estimator / Cost Controller to join their team. The successful candidate will prepare cost estimates, analyze specifications, and monitor project costs while possessing strong knowledge of UAE market rates. Qualifications

  • 2 to 4 years of UAE experience as an Estimator / Cost Controller in civil construction or contracting.
  • Familiarity with quantity take-off tools is an advantage.
  • Good understanding of contracts and cost control principles.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare cost estimates, BOQs, and price comparisons for civil construction projects.
  • Analyze drawings and specifications to assess scope and quantities.
  • Support tendering and post-tender clarifications in coordination with engineering teams.
  • Monitor project costs, budgets, and variations.
  • Assist in preparing cost reports and forecasts.
  • Coordinate with procurement for material and subcontractor pricing.
  • Maintain and update cost databases.

Skills

Strong knowledge of UAE construction market rates
Analytical skills
Attention to detail
Proficiency in MS Excel
Good communication skills in English

Education

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
