• Design structures like bridges or buildings that can withstand natural elements such as wind or water.
• Utilise computer-aided design (CAD) software to create designs.
• Test construction materials to ensure they meet relevant standards.
• Supervise the construction process including laborers and subcontractors.
• Monitor progress of construction projects according to schedule.
• Problem solve any issues that may arise during the project timeline.
