AERTEC is seeking a Civil Draftsman for our infrastructure team in Abu Dhabi, UAE. You will prepare road, drainage and utility drawings for airport and infrastructure projects, ensuring adherence to Abu Dhabi CAD standards and TPD requirements for submissions and approvals.

Responsibilities include drafting road layouts, utility networks, drainage details, and coordinating with engineers to maintain accuracy across disciplines while updating records and supporting quantity take-offs as needed.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Civil Engineering, Drafting or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years' UAE civil draftsman experience.
• Knowledge of Abu Dhabi CAD standards and TPD.
• Experience in road and utility drawings.
• Very good knowledge of AutoCAD.
• Good English.

Responsabilités

• Prepare road drawings: layouts, plans, profiles, cross sections, signage.
• Prepare wet and dry utility drawings: layouts, profiles, sections.
• Prepare drainage drawings and details.
• Prepare utility composite drawings and existing drawings from records.
• Prepare diversion and protection drawings for utilities.
• Update drawings per engineer/client/authority comments.
• Check drawings for consistency between disciplines before issue.
• Keep drawing registers, title blocks and revision records up to date.

Job Description:

We are hiring a Civil Draftsman for our infrastructure team in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

The draftsman will prepare and update road, drainage and utility drawings for airport and infrastructure projects, working closely with the road and utilities engineers. The role includes making sure all drawings follow the Abu Dhabi authority CAD standards and TPD requirements and are ready for submission and approval.

Responsibilities

Drafting

• Prepare road drawings: general layouts, plans, profiles, cross sections, signage and marking.
• Prepare wet and dry utility drawings: network layouts, profiles, sections and details.
• Prepare drainage drawings and standard details.
• Prepare utility composite drawings and existing utility drawings from records and surveys.
• Prepare diversion and protection drawings for affected utilities.

Standards and submissions

• Apply the Abu Dhabi authority CAD standards and TPD requirements to all drawings.
• Prepare drawing sets for authority submissions and NOC applications.
• Update drawings based on engineer, client and authority comments.
• Check drawings for consistency between disciplines before issue.

Document control

• Keep drawing registers, title blocks and revision records up to date.
• Organise CAD files, references and survey data.
• Support the engineers with quantity take-off when needed.

Requirements:

• Diploma in Civil Engineering, Drafting or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of experience as a civil draftsman in the UAE.
• Good knowledge of Abu Dhabi authority CAD standards and TPD.
• Experience in road and utility drawings.
• Very good knowledge of AutoCAD.
• Good English.

Preferred

• Working knowledge of Civil 3D.
• Experience on airport or large infrastructure projects.
• Experience preparing utility composite and NOC drawings.
