Job description

We are seeking an experienced CIAM Solution Architect to design, implement, and deliver secure, scalable, and user-friendly Customer Identity and Access Management (CIAM) solutions — this position is offered in full remote mode from anywhere in Europe.

In this role, you will shape the CIAM strategy, lead technical integrations, and ensure compliance with global security and privacy standards, all while guaranteeing a seamless authentication experience for millions of users.

This position requires a balance between architectural vision and hands-on delivery, within an evolving organization transitioning from legacy SaaS environments to modern CIAM solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and own end-to-end CIAM architecture covering identity lifecycle, authentication, authorization, and federation.
  • Lead and manage multiple concurrent CIAM projects, ensuring delivery within a structured, often waterfall-like governance model.
  • Integrate CIAM platforms (OneWelcome, Azure AD B2C, Okta, ForgeRock, Ping Identity, Auth0, etc.) with internal and external applications and APIs.
  • Define and enforce identity and security standards (OAuth 2.0, OIDC, SAML, FIDO2, SCIM).
  • Ensure regulatory compliance (GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA) and alignment with security best practices.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with product, engineering, and security teams to deliver CIAM solutions aligned with business goals.
  • Handle change requests and customer expectations with diplomacy and clear communication.
  • Provide hands-on configuration and technical support on CIAM products — not just conceptual guidance.
  • Adapt to organizational change and legacy platform transitions, ensuring smooth project continuity.
Profile Requirements
  • 8+ years’ experience in IAM/CIAM solution architecture, with deep expertise in authentication and customer identity journeys (OAuth, OIDC, federation).
  • Proven ability to lead implementations and coordinate across multiple teams.
  • Hands-on experience with OneWelcome, Azure AD B2C, or equivalent CIAM platforms.
  • Solid understanding of APIs (REST, SOAP, JSON, XML) and networking principles (firewalls, TCP/IP, OSI, WAF).
  • Working knowledge of cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or equivalent).
  • Familiarity with BPMN and workflow modeling.
  • Programming knowledge (Java, Python, JavaScript, HTML) is a plus.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proven ability to work autonomously and be immediately operational in dynamic project environments.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field.
