What will I be doing

A Chief Steward trains supports and motivates the Stewarding to deliver an excellent Guest and Team Members while ensuring all ser standards are implemented accordingly.

A Chief Steward trains supports and motivates the Stewarding to deliver an excellent Guest and Team Members while ensuring all ser standards are implemented accordingly. Specifically you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

  • Run the Stewarding department efficiently and at the highest standards
  • Maintenance of hygiene standard in kitchen banquet and all the operation area. Controlling the breakage and loss of all utensils and equipment.
  • Ensure the flow and supply of operating equipments in the kitchen; responsible for providing adequate cleaning items and useful equipment.
  • Oversee the cleanliness of all food and beverage outlets and the Team Restaurant
  • Assign detailed working for all stewards to keep and update steward operation manual chemicals list and cleaning schedule to prepare and control the chemicals and equipment for daily use and to attend some required meeting and training
  • Prepare and carry out the monthly inventory. Control and report internal situation of breakage and loss. Prepare chemicals purchasing request and equipment according to the stocks.
  • Ensure the Stewarding Team has full knowledge and understanding of compliance regulations as they effect sanitation and hygiene as set by internal and local legal requirements
  • Observe guidelines when handling hazardous substances and comply with all aspects of Health and Safety requirements
  • Work with all departments to ensure items that are required for service are available when needed
  • Carry out any other reasonable task set by the Hotels Management
