Job summary

Black & Grey HR, partnering with a leading oil & gas services group in the UAE, invites applications for Head of Internal Audit. You will provide independent assurance to the Board and Executive Management on governance, risk management, and internal controls across the group.

The role leads the Internal Audit function, driving improvement, ensuring compliance, safeguarding assets, and mitigating risks with high visibility and strategic impact in Abu Dhabi.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field.
• CIA preferred; CPA CA ACCA CISA or equivalent certifications are advantageous.
• 12+ years in Internal Audit, Risk or Assurance including at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• Experience in diversified groups (industrial engineering, logistics, infrastructure or energy) preferred.
• Strong knowledge of IPPF COSO governance and regulatory compliance.
• Excellent analytical, stakeholder management, leadership and report-writing skills.
• Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP/Oracle) and audit analytics tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the group's risk-based annual internal audit plan.
• Lead financial, operational compliance and special audits across all units.
• Evaluate governance, risk management and internal control frameworks.
• Identify control weaknesses and suggest practical improvements.
• Present audit findings, recommendations and progress to Exec Management and Audit Committee.
• Monitor corrective actions and ensure timely closure of findings.
• Lead fraud investigations and whistleblower reviews when required.
• Coordinate with External Auditors, Risk, Compliance and Legal for coverage.
• Develop Internal Audit policies and QA processes aligned with IIA Standards.
• Lead, mentor and develop the Internal Audit team with integrity and accountability.
