At Hilton Dubai Palm Jumeirah, a Chef de Partie (Pastry) is responsible for supervising staff and ensuring high standards of food preparation to deliver an excellent Guest and Member experience while assisting with food cost controls.

What will I be doing?

The Chef de Partie will supervise staff and ensure high levels of food preparation. Responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring all food preparation meets quality standards
  • Preparing and presenting high-quality food
  • Maintaining clean and organized work areas to prevent cross-contamination
  • Preparing mis-en-place for relevant menus
  • Responding promptly and efficiently to guest queries
  • Ensuring foodstuffs are of good quality and stored correctly
  • Contributing to cost control, improving gross profit margins, and achieving departmental and financial targets
  • Assisting other departments and maintaining good working relationships
  • Training staff in compliance with company procedures
  • Reporting maintenance, hygiene, and hazard issues
  • Complying with hotel security, fire regulations, health, safety, and food safety legislation
  • Being environmentally conscious

What are we looking for?

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Chef de Partie
  • Valid trade qualification in commercial cookery
  • Strong coaching skills
  • Ability and desire to motivate teams
  • Basic Food Hygiene Certificate
  • Supervisory experience
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Ability to work independently or in a team

It would be advantageous to demonstrate:

  • Intermediate Food Hygiene certification
  • Knowledge of current food trends
