Job summary

NAFFCO Careers seeks a CFD Engineer specializing in fire and life safety to design and analyze smoke control systems for complex building projects in Dubai. You will perform advanced simulations and prepare technical documentation to support design approvals.

Responsibilities include designing smoke control and ventilation per NFPA 92, IBC, and UAE Fire Code; running CFD simulations with FDS and PyroSim; developing evacuation models; creating reports for authority submissions; and coordinating

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Fire Engineering, or related field.
3-6 years CFD analysis and fire safety engineering experience.
Proficiency with CFD tools such as FDS and PyroSim.
Knowledge of NFPA standards, IBC, and UAE Fire Code.

Responsibilities

Design smoke control and ventilation systems per NFPA 92, IBC, UAE Fire Code.
Run CFD simulations to evaluate smoke movement, tenability, and safe egress.
Develop evacuation models and calculations for occupant safety.
Prepare technical reports and system calculations for authority submissions.
Estimate duct and control system costs based on project requirements.
Review drawings, reports, and specs for design accuracy and compliance.
Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate smoke management strategies.
Support client meetings and authority approvals using CFD results.
