Job summary

A leading hospitality company in Fujairah seeks a responsible CCTV Operator to monitor security cameras and ensure all equipment is functional. Duties include detecting suspicious activity and reporting incidents accurately in a Security Log Book. Applicants should have at least 2 years of experience, relevant certification, and strong teamwork skills. This position requires a fulltime commitment and is not eligible for remote work.

Job description
Responsibilities

Vigilance: The CCTV operators shall, when operating the CCTV room, be responsible for monitoring CCTV displays to detect:

  • Human traffic entering or leaving the hotel, particularly criminal or undesirable elements.
  • Illicit movements of goods, particularly those leaving the hotel premises.
  • Misdemeanors committed by staff.
  • Any other unusual activities.

Maintenance ensuring CCTV equipment is in good working condition when taking over duty. In the event of any:

  • Malfunction: Record in the Security Log Book for follow‑up action by the supervisor or assistant. DO NOT attempt to meddle with any equipment.
  • Blank screens on CCTV monitors: Indicative of malfunction, theft or sabotage of the camera. Promptly alert and direct the nearest security personnel to investigate and determine the cause.
  • Recording details of incidents and actions taken in the Security Log Book.
  • Taking prompt action via walkie‑talkie or phone to alert the supervisor, concierge and engineering department if any lift is jammed, as indicated on the Lift Supervisory Panel.
  • Informing the field officer of their meal relief roster as prepared by the supervisor in the Security Log Book, and granting any requested emergency relief.
  • Redeploying field officers as scheduled per instructions from the security manager or in‑charge security.
  • Granting emergency relief to field officers.
  • Acting promptly on anti‑robbery alarms via walkie‑talkie to alert and direct the supervisor to the scene of activation, and calling the security manager.
  • Reporting via phone or radio:
    • Reception check‑in counter to the security room if required.
  • Fire exit security alarm monitoring and recording the time, date and location of activation in the Security Log Book for collation and setting a MouseTrap to apprehend the culprit.
Qualifications
  • Previous experience of at least 2 years in the same field.
  • Certification in CCTV from DPS or PSBD.
  • Computer literate in Microsoft Windows applications.
  • Professional presentation.
  • Highly responsible & reliable.
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Ability to work cohesively as part of a team.
