About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and hands-on Category Manager to lead the setup, growth and end-to-end management of the Flowers category across the UAE and Saudi Arabia. This is a high-impact role for someone who deeply understands the regional flowers market and is excited to build and scale a category from the ground up.

The ideal candidate is commercially strong, execution-focused, and comfortable being close to the day-to-day operations - someone who can define strategy but is equally willing to roll up their sleeves to make things happen on the ground.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own the end-to-end category management for Flowers across UAE and KSA, including strategy, assortment, pricing, supplier management, and performance tracking
  • Set up and scale the Flowers category from scratch, ensuring strong market fit, availability, quality, and competitiveness
  • Develop and manage the supplier ecosystem, including sourcing, onboarding, negotiations, commercials, and ongoing relationship management
  • Leverage strong understanding of the local and regional flowers market, including seasonality, sourcing patterns, pricing dynamics, customer preferences, and competitive landscape
  • Drive category growth through optimized assortment planning, margin management, and pricing strategies
  • Work closely with supply chain and operations teams to ensure smooth fulfillment, quality control, and timely delivery, given the perishable nature of the category
  • Collaborate with marketing and commercial teams to support launches, campaigns, promotions, and key trading moments
  • Monitor category KPIs including sales, margins, availability, waste, and customer satisfaction, and take corrective actions where needed
  • Stay closely involved in execution, problem-solving, and continuous improvement of category processes
  • Identify opportunities to innovate, expand selection, and improve the customer experience across both markets
Qualifications
  • Proven experience managing the Flowers category or fresh/perishable categories (flowers strongly preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of the UAE and/or Saudi Arabia flowers market, including suppliers, pricing, and operational considerations
  • Experience building or scaling a category, ideally in e-commerce, retail, FMCG, or quick commerce
  • Highly hands-on and execution-driven, with the ability to manage both strategic and operational aspects of the role
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience in negotiations, margin optimization, and performance management
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment and making data-driven decisions
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to work cross-functionally
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
