The successful candidate will be responsible for constructing and repairing wooden structures, furniture, and other items according to customer requirements. The ideal candidate has 2 years of experience in carpentry, pays attention to detail, and is physically fit.

Expected Duties

The Carpenter will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to carpentry construction and maintenance. This includes measuring materials accurately; cutting wood; joining materials together with glue or nails; creating furniture pieces such as desks and chairs; installing cabinets; sanding surfaces; repairing furniture pieces; inspecting finished products for quality control; maintaining a safe work environment; following blueprints or drawings to complete projects correctly; and keeping tools clean and organized.

Skills Required

The successful candidate must possess excellent carpentry skills with an eye for detail. They should have the ability to read blueprints or drawings accurately, possess good problem-solving skills, have the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, have strong communication skills with the ability to take direction from supervisors effectively, have excellent hand-eye coordination as well as manual dexterity, possess knowledge of safety protocols related to carpentry work, be physically fit enough to perform light physical labor throughout the day such as lifting boards or carrying ladders up stairs without assistance.

Minimum Qualifications

The ideal candidate has two years of experience in carpentry construction/maintenance experience as well as knowledge of woodworking tools and techniques. They should possess a valid driver’s license if they are required to travel between sites during their duties. Candidates must also be able to pass a background check prior to employment.
