Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years experience as a Carpenter in the construction industry.
• Proven knowledge of carpentry techniques and methods.
• Ability to read blueprints and building plans.
• Physically fit with excellent hand-eye coordination.
• Attention to detail.
• Good time management skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints and building plans to determine materials required and dimensions of the structure.
• Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, plywood or wallboard using hand tools or power tools.
• Install structures such as windows, frames, floorings, trimmings according to specifications.
• Repair or replace damaged or rotting wood structures and fixtures.
• Follow safety procedures at all times to prevent accidents or injuries.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
