Job summary

Abu Alnaga Contracting in Dubai invites an experienced Carpenter Chargehand to lead on a major high-rise construction project. You will supervise carpenters, read drawings, manage formwork for columns, beams, slabs and stairs, and ensure quality and safety on site.

The ideal candidate has at least five years of carpentry, prior chargehand or supervisory experience, and strong leadership and communication skills to coordinate with engineers and foremen while delivering work on schedule.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of relevant carpentry experience.
• High-rise building construction experience is preferred.
• Previous Chargehand/Supervisory experience.
• Strong knowledge of structural formwork and concrete works.
• Ability to read drawings and take accurate measurements.
• Good leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate carpenters and helpers on site.
• Manage daily manpower and carpentry activities.
• Supervise formwork for columns, beams, slabs, walls, cores, and stairs.
• Read and interpret construction/shop drawings.
• Ensure proper alignment, leveling, dimensions, and quality.
• Coordinate with engineers, foremen, and other trades.
• Monitor progress and ensure work is completed as per schedule.
• Maintain strict HSE, PPE, and work-at-height requirements.
• Ensure good housekeeping and minimize material wastage.
