Job summary

Sharaf DG is seeking a field carpenter to service multiple store locations in the UAE. Responsible for repairing doors, locks, fixtures, cupboards, and making new wooden units, as well as shifting and relocating fixtures as required.

Candidate should have 1–3 years of carpentry experience, preferably with SSLC. You will collaborate with electricians and painters and coordinate material requests for store needs.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years minimum experience in carpentry.
• SSLC (preferable).
• Knowledge of fixtures and materials.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintenance of doors, locks and accessories.
• Repair and maintenance of fixtures and cupboards.
• Make new wooden units and cupboards.
• Refurbish fixtures and install in stores.
• Assist Electrician/Painter when needed.
• Prepare material requests with store inspection and obtain approvals.

Job Summary & Purpose:

To provide better services to the clients (stores) and make them satisfactory by completing their requirements. To attend carpentry calls in all over the stores in UAE such as repairing locks, replacing locks, repairing rails, hinges, wheels, handles, making cupboards, shelves, drawer units, work stations, repairing gypsum false ceilings, fixing doors, minor glass & aluminium repair works, shifting and relocating fixtures, arranging materials from one store to another as per the store request, arranging materials from local market for replacing the faulty fittings/making new units etc. Work include day and night.

Key Performance Areas (KPAs) & Principal Accountabilities

• Repair & Maintenance of all kinds of doors, locks & its accessories
• Repair & Maintenance of all kinds of fixtures/cupboards etc.
• Making new wooden units/cupboards
• Refurbishments of fixtures
• Arranging and installation of fixtures in stores
• Repair & maintenance of metal fixtures
• Repair & maintenance of gypsum works
• Shifting & re-arranging work stations in offices
• Providing assistance to Electrician/Painter whenever needs service
• Prepare a material request on the basis of store inspection and get approval from SM/DM
• Forwarding the material request to MM for further approval
• Arranging the materials from local market when and where requires for the work

Qualitative Requirements

Experience (Yrs. & Field) : 1-3 Years minimum experience in carpentry field

Educational Qualification : SSLC-Preferable

Skills & Abilities

Knowledge on fixtures and understanding of the material.
