Position Overview:

We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated Home Caregiver to join our team, providing personalized, high-quality care to clients in the comfort of their own homes. You will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for clients by supporting them with their daily needs and ensuring a safe, comfortable, and caring environment. Key Responsibilities:

• Personal Care: Assist clients with daily activities such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting to maintain their personal hygiene and comfort.
• Mobility Support: Aid clients with safe movement, mobility exercises, transfers, and posture support to help them maintain independence.
• Meal Preparation: Prepare nutritious and well-balanced meals, considering individual dietary needs and preferences.
• Medication Assistance: Ensure clients follow their prescribed medication schedule by providing reminders and assistance with medication administration.
• Housekeeping: Perform light housekeeping duties including cleaning, laundry, and organizing to maintain a tidy and hygienic home environment.
• Companionship: Provide emotional support and companionship, engaging clients in conversation and activities to reduce isolation and enhance their mental well-being.
• Medical Appointments: Escort clients to medical appointments as needed, ensuring proper communication with healthcare professionals.
• Health Monitoring: Observe and report changes in the clients health, such as changes in behavior, appetite, or physical condition, to family members or the healthcare team.
• Care Documentation: Keep detailed and accurate records of daily activities, care routines, and any changes in the client's health or condition.

Qualifications:

• Experience: At least 1 year of experience in home care, personal caregiving, or a similar role.
• Certifications:
  • MOFA Attested Certification required.
  • Certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Home Health Aide (HHA) is a plus.
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification is required.
• Skills:
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build trust and rapport with clients and their families.
  • Excellent attention to detail to monitor changes in health and provide the necessary care.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks such as assisting with mobility and daily caregiving duties.
  • Proficiency in light household chores and meal preparation.
• Compassionate, patient, and empathetic toward the needs of clients.
• Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy, with a strong sense of responsibility in fulfilling caregiving duties.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team to ensure high-quality care.
