Qualifications

• 10 years of experience in the Calypso domain.
• 5-7 years experience as a Calypso developer, working with Calypso version 11.
• Ability to analyze production issues and provide resolutions.

Responsibilities

• Develop functionalities of the Calypso application in Agile teams.
• Interact with internal teams and resolve user queries related to Calypso.
• Work with production support team to understand project landscape.

We have been engaged by a large Bank in UAE to provide resources to their Calypso program. They need Calypso Developers to be part of a larger team comprising other developers and a testing team. You will be working closely with the internal back office and other teams to develop all the requisite functionalities in-house. Looking for a techno functional calypso consultant.

Responsibilities

• Work in Agile development teams to develop functionalities of the Calypso application
• Run the Bank/Change the Bank function for the Calypso platform
• Assist with strategic (bank) initiatives to develop capabilities
• Interact and liaise with teams across various geographic locations
• Interact with Business and Operations users and resolve their queries
• Initially work with the Production support team to understand the project landscape

SKILLS

Must have

• Total 10 years in Calypso domain
• 5- 7 years experience on Calypso as a developer, Calypso 11 Version
• Ability to write SQL queries and understand Calypso database tables
• Strong Java experience
• Good understanding of Overall Calypso Architecture
• Hands-on Calypso development and customizations, like Scheduled Tasks, Reports, Engines
• Understanding and application of Calypso APIs
• Good analytical skills, should be able to analyze and resolve production issues
• Good understanding of Calypso's message and sender frameworks
• Good and effective communication skills
• Understanding of Fixed Income Markets & Products
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a geographically dispersed team

Nice to have

• Basic understanding of UNIX servers and commands
• Understanding of back-office processes like SWIFT messages, Settlements, CREs, Accounting, etc.
• Understanding of FX and MM products
• Experience with tools like Maven, Jenkins, Gradle, Azure DevOps, or other CI tools
