Job summary

Cognita Schools is seeking a Business Insight Analyst in Dubai to partner with the Commercial function. You will develop and maintain Power BI dashboards, analyze data from Databricks with SQL, and deliver actionable insights for admissions, pipeline performance, retention and revenue.

You will engage with stakeholders across levels, support data quality and reporting, and help pilot AI-powered self-service tools within Cognita's Performance Framework.

Qualifications

• Degree in a relevant discipline; Power BI certification advantageous.

About the Role:

The Business Insight Analyst is Cognita's key analytics partner within the Commercial function, combining strong stakeholder engagement with hands‑on technical expertise to turn data into meaningful business decisions. Working closely with Commercial stakeholders, the CRM Insights and Analysis Manager, and the central data team, the postholder will develop and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards, analyse data directly from the Databricks platform using SQL, and provide actionable insights across areas such as admissions, pipeline performance, retention and revenue. Acting as the link between business needs and analytics delivery, they will translate complex questions into clear reporting and analytical solutions, support data quality and enterprise reporting requirements, and help drive data literacy across the function. The role will also play a key part in identifying and piloting AI‑powered tools and capabilities, helping to embed innovative, self‑service solutions that enhance decision‑making and support Cognita's wider Performance Framework and Intelligence Centre.

Working Arrangement: 4 days per week in Dubai office, 1 day working from home.

Who We Are Looking For:

We are looking for a commercially minded and analytically driven professional with experience in business performance, sales, marketing or commercial analytics. You will have a strong track record of working with commercial and funnel data, using SQL to explore and interrogate datasets, and creating impactful reports and dashboards in Power BI or a similar BI platform. Comfortable partnering with stakeholders at all levels, you will be able to translate business questions into clear analytical requirements and deliver actionable insights that support decision‑making across areas such as enquiries, conversion, pipeline performance, retention and marketing ROI. Strong stakeholder management skills, a collaborative approach, and experience working within Agile or Scrum environments are essential. A degree in a relevant discipline such as Data, Business, Statistics or Economics, along with a Microsoft Power BI certification, would be advantageous.
