We are seeking an ambitious and results-driven Business Development Manager. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of corporate learning needs and a proven track record of forging long-term client relationships.
1. Market & Strategy Development :
- Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities, target markets, and emerging trends within corporate training, skills gaps, and human capital development.
- Develop and execute a strategic business development plan to achieve sales targets and expand the company's market share.
- Analyze competitor activities and offerings to ensure the company maintains a competitive advantage.
2. Sales & Client Acquisition :
- Proactively generate new leads through networking, cold calling, attending industry events, and leveraging professional contacts.
- Arrange and attend business meetings with prospective clients to understand their specific training and development needs.
- Present, promote, and sell the company's training programs and services, effectively articulating the value proposition and return on investment (ROI).
- Lead the entire sales cycle, from initial contact through to negotiation and contract closure.
3. Client Relationship Management :
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships with key decision-makers (HR, L&D, Department Heads, C-suite).
- Act as the primary point of contact for new clients, ensuring a smooth handoff to the delivery or account management team.
- Identify opportunities to upsell and cross-sell additional services to existing clients.
4. Proposal & Reporting :
- Collaborate with subject matter experts and instructional designers to develop tailored proposals, bids, and sales presentations that address client requirements.
- Prepare and manage sales contracts, ensuring all terms and conditions are clearly defined and legally sound.
- Maintain accurate records of all sales activities and client information in the CRM system.
- Provide regular reports and sales forecasts to senior management.
Education :
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Human Resources, or a related field.
Experience :
Proven track record of success in a Business Development or strategic sales role, preferably within the Training, Consulting, or B2B Services industry.
Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed sales targets.
Experience with the full sales cycle, from prospecting to closing.
