Business Development Executive | Hertz | Financial Services Rental & Leasing
Overview Of The Role:
- The Business Development Executive is responsible for spearheading the identification and pursuit of strategic growth opportunities that contribute to revenue increase, market positioning, and lasting partnerships. The role involves acquiring new clients and fortifying existing relationships, transforming commercial avenues into scalable and profitable ventures aligned with the company’s strategic goals. This position also entails overseeing the sales pipeline and maintaining compliance with governance and risk management mandates.
What You Will Do:
Customer Satisfaction and Sales
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by delivering a seamless rental experience.
- Handle escalated customer issues and complaints promptly and professionally.
- Drive upselling of additional products and services (insurance, upgrades, GPS, etc.) to meet revenue targets.
- Monitor and coach team members to enhance their service delivery and sales performance.
Business Development and Market Analysis
- Identify, assess, and pursue new business opportunities aligned with organisational growth objectives, including corporate accounts, partnerships, brokers, and strategic alliances.
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Generate, manage, and maintain a qualified sales pipeline from prospecting through to contract closure.
- Develop business cases, pricing proposals, and commercial offers in collaboration with finance and pricing teams.
- Onboard new clients and partners, ensuring effective handover to operations and relevant internal stakeholders.
Relationship Management and Performance
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key customers and partners.
- Manage partner and account performance against agreed commercial and service-level targets.
- Identify upsell, cross-sell, and renewal opportunities to maximise revenue and retention.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work cross-functionally with operations, IT, marketing, and customer experience teams to deliver commercial initiatives, including digital distribution and system integrations.
- Support go-to-market activities and implementation of new products, services, or channels.
Performance Monitoring and Compliance
- Monitor and report on sales performance, pipeline health, and revenue forecasts.
- Ensure all business development activities comply with internal governance, risk, and compliance requirements.
