Job description
Objective

Preparing the annual budget of Department of Finance, which includes employee service expenses, operating and capital expenses, and other expenses and revenues in accordance with the rules and requirements in force in the Abu Dhabi Government.

Essential Duties
  • Preparing the annual budget for employee service expenses, operating and capital expenses, and other expenses and revenues for the Finance Department based on the instructions, forms, and specified time frame.
  • Determining and discussing the ceilings of the department's budget sections in coordination with the various organizational units, studying the budgets of the organizational units, and submitting recommendations for their amendment.
  • Working and following up with the relevant organizational units in the department to ensure that their budgets are prepared within the specified time frame.
  • Collecting all elements of the budgets of the organizational units of the Finance Department.
  • Implementing requests, decisions, and directives for the necessary amendments to the Finance Department's budget.
  • Notifying the relevant organizational units of the approved budget.
  • Implementing the Finance Department's budget with the relevant organizational units to ensure their commitment to implementing it within the specified ceilings.
  • Studying requests to amend the Finance Department's budget (additions, transfers, etc.) and submitting appropriate studies and recommendations.
  • Provide the necessary support to the line manager and perform any other related tasks assigned.
Qualifications Required
  • Bachelor's degree or higher, in accounting or equivalent in a similar specialty that is appropriate for the job duties.
  • A Certified Management Accountant (CMA) or equivalent is preferred.
Experience Required
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in a similar field/position.
