Job summary

Danube Group in the UAE is seeking a Branch Accountant to join the Finance & Accounts team. Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will oversee branch accounting, record cash and cheque receipts, perform reconciliations, and deliver timely financial reports that support branch operations and policy compliance.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Accounting/Finance, 3+ years in branch or corporate accounting, UAE GAAP knowledge, ERP experience (SAP/Oracle), and strong Excel skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in branch or corporate accounting.
• Strong knowledge of UAE GAAP and tax regulations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day branch accounting operations and ensure adherence to company policies.
• Record and deposit daily cash and cheque receipts.
• Perform cash, bank, and intercompany general ledger reconciliations on a regular basis.
• Prepare and distribute daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports as required.
• Issue receipts, refunds, and exchange documents in line with established procedures.
• Execute monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing activities within stipulated timelines.
• Maintain and update prepaid and provision schedules on a monthly basis.
• Collaborate with internal audit and corporate finance teams to uphold internal controls.
• Assist in branch budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the Finance Manager.
