Job summary

Due to the continued success of our school, GEMS Founders School – Dubai, we are seeking to recruit a Biology Teacher available to join us, January 2027.

Our Science Faculty is a large and supportive team, which gives staff plenty of opportunity to develop their experience across KS3 to KS5 and to grow into wider curriculum or leadership responsibilities over time. We have specialist subject leadership across Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Computing and KS3 Science, well‑equipped laboratories and a dedicated technician team.

There is a strong culture of collaboration across the faculty, with shared planning, regular professional development and a well‑established support structure for early career teachers through our ECT programme, coaching and mentoring. Staff are also encouraged to get involved in curriculum development, enrichment, competitions and wider STEM opportunities, so there is plenty of scope to shape the faculty as well as develop professionally within it.

Skills Description

What we are looking for:

• Bachelor’s degree in the relevant subject area with a recognised Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Both newly qualified and experienced teachers are encouraged to apply, with enthusiasm for developing their teaching practice and growing within a supportive school environment.
• A genuine passion for your subject, committed to inspiring students and creating engaging, challenging learning experiences.
• Experience or knowledge of teaching GCSE and/or A‑Level, with an understanding of curriculum and examination requirements.
