Job Title: BIM Manager
Responsibilities:
- BIM Project Management:
- Monitor and validate BIM progress and quality.
- Produce project-specific BIM Execution Plan in accordance with customer requirements and relevant standards.
- Ensure development and compliance with the approved BIM project Execution Plan.
- Ensure quality control of all BIM-related documents with proper review.
- Revise and submit BEP/PXP when information becomes outdated.
- Maintain model development ahead of construction works to prevent abortive works.
- Coordinate configuration settings for seamless integration of design and construction models.
- Ensure design deliverables conform to specified formats.
- Coordinate BIM file exchange and archiving of milestone submittals.
- Provide necessary information at milestone submittals for the contractor.
- Ensure proper BIM-derived 2D information for printing, conforming to CAD standards.
- Coordinate with builders to create proper BIM final deliverables.
- Properly classify all spaces and equipment in the model for comparison with MFD.
- Coach and mentor project teams on BIM knowledge.
- Produce documents such as EIR and MIDP for subcontractor RFPs, ensuring compliance with BIM standards.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, and other BIM tools; ISO and BIM certifications preferred.
Organizing and guiding BIM processes:
- Facilitate use of composite design models in coordination and clash detection meetings.
- Test design requirements/criteria for functionality using models.
- Facilitate BIM technical meetings with lead BIM technicians.
- Handle customer-facing BIM topics requiring escalation.
- Identify significant issues and geometric clashes during the project lifecycle.
- Create an overview of contractual system requirements for BEP comparison.
Your profile:
- Graduate in relevant engineering field with BIM software certifications (Mechanical, Production, Architect, Mechatronics).
- 3-5 years of experience as a BIM Manager for Lead or Appointed Parties.
