Business Underwriting Team Lead

Summary:
As a Business Underwriting Team Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing underwriting processes, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, managing a team of underwriters, developing risk assessment strategies, and contributing to the overall success of the organization.

Responsibilities:
Oversee the day-to-day operations of the underwriting team, ensuring adherence to established policies and procedures.
Develop and implement risk assessment strategies that align with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
Manage a team of underwriters, providing mentorship and guidance to ensure high performance and development.
Review and approve loan applications, making informed decisions based on thorough analysis of financial data and market trends.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify potential risks and opportunities in the lending process.

Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
Minimum 5 years of experience in Banking roles, including at least 3 years in a Business Underwriting Team Lead or equivalent position.
Proficiency in relevant tools such as Excel, CRM systems, and risk management software.
Strong communication skills to effectively interact with various stakeholders, including clients, colleagues, and regulatory bodies.
