Planning & Organizing
  1. To approve schedules for all personnel according to forecast and within the limits of the staffing guide to ensure adequate manpower at all times.
  2. To recommend hiring, promotions and dismissal to the Food & Beverage Office.
  3. To be involved in planning of promotions, beverage purchases and pricing.
  4. To advise and consult with the bar with regards to service matters and bar standards.
  5. To be constantly aware of the food & beverage cost of sale.
  6. To provide consumption data for purchasing purposes.
  7. To work constantly towards reducing stock holding together with cost control and storekeeper.
  8. To coordinate with Marketing and Food & Beverage Manager all marketing activities and public relations related to the bar.
  9. To be fully aware at all times of competition activities, theme nights and pricing.
Operations
  1. To report any equipment failures/problems to the Maintenance Department.
  2. To pass any maintenance requests to the Maintenance Department.
  3. To participate in any Training/Developments schemes as recommended by senior management.
  4. Responsible for the proper maintenance and cleanliness of all areas in the Bar.
  5. To ensure sanitary conditions according to Health codes and Hotel standards.
  6. To supervise the daily operation.
  7. To advise and consult with the Food & Beverage manager on all matters pertaining to the bar operation.
  8. To define training needs and set-up training programs. Continuously trains the team to achieve highest professionalism.
  9. To ensure correct handling of equipment to minimize breakages and losses.
  10. To inspect all areas daily before opening according to fixed standard checklist.
  11. To enforce and maintain all policies and procedures.
  12. To approve requisitions for beverages, condiments, general supplies and guest supplies, taking into consideration established par stocks.
  13. To participate actively in the creation of new drinks, snacks, food menu and improve presentations to achieve the overall objective.
  14. To handle and record all complaints related to the bar personally and inform the Food & Beverage Office.
  15. To maintain standards specification for all beverages and food products.
  16. Responsible for the hygienic appearance and grooming standards of all staff.
  17. To inspect all fridges and bar stores to check expiry dates on all items.
  18. To observe opening and closing hours of the bars according to the law and company standards.
  19. To implement and maintain full database for the bar separately from the Food & Beverage or Hotel database in coordination with marketing communications.
  20. To ensure proper control at all times of music standards, sound and lighting levels.
  21. To ensure proper control and respect of door policy accordingly to approved door policy standards of the bar and the country’s rules and regulations.
  22. To perform any other duties assigned by Food & Beverage.
  23. To have a complete understanding of and to adhere to Swissotel Al Murooj Hotel policy relating to Fire, Hygiene, Health and Safety.
  24. Be familiar with all related company documentation and especially with the relevant Operational Standards Manual for the department.
  25. To carry out any other reasonable duties and responsibilities as assigned.
  26. Experience in handling a busy sports bar.
  27. Plan and host events, such as viewing parties for major sports events, trivia nights, live music, creating a vibrant, engaging atmosphere.
  28. Work hand in hand with F&B Manager to develop and implement promotional strategies, daily and weekly promotions and social media marketing.
  29. Build relationships with local sports teams, leagues, or businesses to increase visibility and customer loyalty.
  30. Work closely with the team to develop a strong regular guests database for the sports bar.
  31. Past experience to work with business promoters.
  32. Knowledge of inventory and cost management, and financial planning of sports bar.
  33. A good understanding of various sports and enthusiasm for the industry to enhance the overall experience for sports fans.
Administration
  1. To submit the following reports:
  2. Overtime & extra hours consumed monthly.
  3. Daily log book
  4. Other expenses control sheet
  5. Time schedule weekly
  6. Vacation schedules yearly
  7. Responsible for the financial aspects of the bar.
  8. To ensure NOCs for all entertainers are completed accurately and kept in a safe place available at all times for the country’s Municipality to control.
