Job summary

DeepLight AI is seeking a Data Scientist with banking domain awareness to design, develop, and deploy robust statistical models for regional clients in the UAE. You will work on risk models, capital optimization, and regulatory-compliant analytics across treasury and lending functions.

You will translate complex financial challenges into production-ready Python solutions, collaborate with risk officers and analysts, and uphold high standards of scientific rigor and software engineering.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience building statistical risk models in corporate banking, wholesale banking, or treasury environments.
• Strong theoretical and practical understanding of quantitative concepts underpinning ML and statistics.
• Proficiency in Python and its scientific computing ecosystem; experience with Basel III/IV and regulatory capital calculations.

Responsibilities

• Build Advanced Risk Models for corporate lending, wholesale banking, liquidity and treasury operations (PD, LGD, EAD).
• Develop Risk-Adjusted Return on Capital (RAROC) and RAC optimization modules.
• Ensure Basel III/IV alignment, stress testing, and regulatory capital compliance.
• Write clean, modular Python code and participate in peer code reviews.
• Collaborate with risk officers, analysts, and tech leads to present quantitative findings.
