Overview

General Accountant - Real Estate Division in Sharjah, UAE. Reporting to the Finance Manager. Responsible for full bookkeeping up to consolidation, and for filing of quarterly VAT returns. The role involves coordinating and completing audits, analyzing financial information, and supporting management with financial insights.

Responsibilities
  • Carry out monthly, quarterly, and yearly bookkeeping activities including settlements of bank and bank card accounts, coordination, and completion of annual audits, and evaluation of financial reports as necessary.
  • Analyze and report on financial condition including income statement variations, communicate financial results to management, and assist in budget preparation and evaluation.
  • Improve systems and processes and initiate corrective actions as needed.
  • Accounts payable functions; manage obligations and timelines.
  • Manage tax obligations and ensure compliance with federal regulations, including VAT.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 3 years of experience handling audit tasks for a real estate or financial investment business.
  • Strong expertise in finalization, consolidation, and filing of quarterly VAT.
  • Strong communication and presentation abilities.
  • Bachelor's degree in Audit, Finance, or a related field; pursuing or holding a Masters in Business or professional qualifications (CA, CPA, etc.) is favored.
  • Skilled in English.
Working Hours

The working hours are 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM, Saturday to Thursday. As an option, you may be eligible to work alternate Saturdays with six days off in a month.
