Job summary

Edge seeks a highly skilled Backend Developer to design, build, and operate the server-side foundation of a next-generation platform. You will deliver reliable, scalable backend services powering applications and workflows with strong Python expertise and API design.

You will build REST and GraphQL APIs, design relational and NoSQL databases, and develop cloud-native microservices using Docker and Kubernetes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience developing production backend applications and services.
• Strong expertise in Python, including FastAPI, Flask, or Django.
• Experience designing and developing REST and GraphQL APIs.
• Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL and/or MySQL, including database design and optimization.
• Experience with MongoDB, Redis, Elasticsearch/OpenSearch, or similar technologies.
• Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, microservices, and cloud-native architectures.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP services.
• Familiarity with Kafka, RabbitMQ, SQS/SNS, or other messaging platforms.
• Strong testing, CI/CD, Git, Linux, and collaborative development experience.

Responsibilities

The ideal candidate has strong expertise in Python backend development, API design, database engineering, cloud-native architectures, and DevOps practices, with experience building production-grade systems from development through deployment and optimization.
