Job summary

Fujairah Aviation Academy is seeking a skilled aircraft maintenance professional to perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on fleet aircraft at Fujairah International Airport. The role requires certifying maintenance releases in accordance with CAR 145, referencing AMM/IPC/CMM/AMP and company procedures, and adhering to safety and OEM recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled & unscheduled maintenance on aircraft

• Follow MOE/TPM procedures for maintenance
• Adhere to safe practices and standards during work
• Coordinate with DOM & Chief Engineer to maintain aircraft

• Perform SB/AD tasks on aircraft
• Repair/modify per approved documents
• Train junior staff to maintain standards

Job description

Fujairah Aviation Academy, formerly known as Fujairah Aviation Centre, was founded in 1986 under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Saleh Mohammed Hamad Al Sharqi, a committed supporter of aviation training and education. Over several decades, the Academy has grown from providing Private and Commercial Pilot Licenses to becoming the first dedicated Airline Transport Pilot License school in the Middle East. All courses are approved by the UAE General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA), leading to UAE licenses that can be converted to those of other ICAO member states, subject to local regulations. Located at Fujairah International Airport, the Academy offers ideal conditions for flight training, including minimal air traffic delays, excellent year-round weather, modern navigation facilities, and a quiet, cost-effective environment for learners.

ABOUT THE ROLE

• 1- Perform scheduled & unscheduled maintenance on the aircrafts, assigned under his scope of authorization.
• 2-Certify Maintenance Release i.r.o. maintenance performed on the aircraft i.a.w. CAR 145 requirements.
• 3-Refer AMM/IPC/CMM/AMP/Procedure Sheets etc. for completion of maintenance.
• 4-Follow procedures given in Company MOE/TPM for completion of maintenance.
• 5-Strictly adhere to safe standard practices & maintenance standards while performing work on the aircraft.
• 6-Work under DOM & Chief Engineer to ensure aircrafts are always maintained to the highest standards i.a.w. TC holder/OEM/Authority recommendations & mandatory requirements.
• 7-Carry out troubleshooting & snag rectification on Radio, Electrical & Instruments systems according to required standards.
• 8-Carry out repair/modification on the aircraft i.a.w. approved documents.
• 9-Perform SB/AD on the aircraft i.a.w. approved documents.
• 10-Train junior staffs/technicians working under him to ensure maintenance work is performed to the required standards.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• 1. Minimum 5 years maintenance experience & preferably more than 3 years of B1 Certifying Staff experience
• 2. Must hold current & valid license on Diamond DA 40 and DA 42 and DA 62
• 3. License on Cessna 172R/S
• 4. Type Training Course with Diamond Factory Austria will be given preference
• 5. Good Knowledge of Human Factors & Aviation Legislation
