Job summary

First Abu Dhabi Bank seeks a compliance professional to support business and enablement units under the VP Compliance. You will become the first contact for GPB & Securities Services compliance requirements and participate in ongoing training to understand FAB's processes.

Daily activities include follow-ups with the business, meetings with stakeholders, and involvement in governance meetings and regulatory reporting to ensure adherence to laws and internal policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or Higher in Management, Banking or Finance
• Certification in Compliance related subjects
• Minimum 2 years in Banking or related financial institution.

Responsibilities

• Provide compliance support to Business and enablement units as requested by the VP Compliance.
• Be the first point of contact for Global Private Banking & Securities Services compliance requirements.
• Attend related training to understand FAB's compliance processes.
• Involve in day-to-day Compliance deliverables with regular follow-ups to the business.
• Conduct meetings with Business to address subjects assigned by VP Compliance.
• Assist in governance meetings and regulatory reporting as required.

Job description

Job Purpose

• To provide compliance support to Business and enablement units on all compliance matters as requested by the VP Compliance. Where the manager will run with the allotted day to day processes and follow ups.


• Understand technical details in Global Private Banking & Securities Services and related compliance requirements to become the first point of contact for requirements and queries delegated by the VP Compliance.


• Attend all related training to attain insight of FAB's compliance turn around and processes and procedure.


• Involvement in the day-to-day Compliance deliverables as requested by the VP Compliance. Which include but not limited to, daily, weekly, and monthly follow up with the business as assigned by the VP Compliance.


• Conduct meetings with Business to address subjects assigned by VP Compliance

Key Accountabilities

Strategic Contribution

• As assigned by VP Compliance and in partnership with Regulatory Compliance, implementing policies and procedures to assist in the compliance with applicable laws and regulations, pertinent to the coverage area.


• Support VP Compliance in performing annual compliance risk assessment to identify key compliance residual risks


• Contributing to the preparation and filing of compliance-owned periodic regulatory reporting and requests by local regulators


• As assigned by VP Compliance and in partnership with Financial Crimes Compliance, making a key contribution in reputational risk reviews to identify, assess, manage, and report potential compliance risks.

People Management

• Educating employees through regular training and awareness sessions to promote compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and policies.

Policies, Systems, Process & Procedures

• As assigned by VP Compliance advise on the rollout and implementation of Group wide Compliance policies and procedures.

GPB & Securities Services Advisory

• Act as an SME to provide Compliance advice to internal and external (Group wide) stakeholders as required.


• Develop and strengthen relationships to promote best practice and ensure a good understanding of Compliance requirements across Global Private Banking.


• Advise Business Units with technical insights and build credibility based on an understanding of their challenges related to products, customers, and transactions.


• Supporting Global Private Banking & Securities Services to foster an open and co-operative relationship with regulatory authorities and exchanges relevant to the entities of the business and registrations as relevant to the coverage responsibilities.


• As assigned by SVP Compliance investigating actual or potential breaches of law, regulation or policy and escalate material compliance matters to senior management.


• Representing Compliance at governance meetings and relevant operational forums, reporting on key regulatory updates and compliance risks.


• Reviewing and approving new business projects and new product development.

Qualifications & Experience

Minimum Qualification:

• Bachelor’s Degree or Higher in Management, Banking or Finance preferably with Certification in Compliance related subjects


• Minimum Experience


• Minimum 2 years in Banking or related financial institution.
