Job summary

ADIB - Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank in Sharjah is seeking an Associate - Unsecured Policy for fresh UAE National Graduates only. The role supports the retail credit policy function and portfolio, ensuring processes are well managed and aligned with internal controls.

You will oversee the credit cycle from sourcing and credit approval to collections, maintaining a healthy portfolio, communicating with relevant units, and supporting policy updates and testing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Strong communication and finance background are essential.
• Internship experience, even outside banking, is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Ensure Post Approval Review is conducted as per approved process and there are no breaches on local and internal regulations.
• Ensure Daily Disaster Report is reviewed and any breaches of local and internal regulations are highlighted.
• Ensure adherence and effective updates and tracking of policy changes and tests for product performance assessment. Maintain a log of all policy changes.
• Ensure clear communication with all relevant units and documentation of all credit policy decisions.
• Ensure that approved delegation and deviation matrix are in place.
• Complete policy dept. RCSA timely and ensure testing is performed for all policy functions per approved processes.
• Analyze MIS to ensure portfolio risk quality and validate policy effectiveness.
• Coordinate with IT for policy parameter logics to automate data reports.
• Perform other duties assigned by management.
• Review delinquent accounts to understand drivers of delinquency and assess portfolio impact.
• Portfolio review: understand portfolio mix and performance metrics.

• Collection review for top delinquent accounts recently for recently booked applications and understanding drivers of delinquency
• Portfolio review- have basic knowledge of Portfolio mix, Expat vs UAE, TML vs NTML, Salary transfer vs non-Salary transfer and basic understanding of performance metrices.

Specialist skills / technical knowledge required for this role

• Preferably some internships are not necessarily in Banking sector
• Minimum of Bachelor’s degree
• Communication skills and Finance academic background
