Job summary

Serco in Dubai is seeking an Assistant Technician-Facility Maintenance Pump Mechanic to perform preventive, corrective and breakdown maintenance on a range of pumps. You will work solo or as part of a technical team, following safety protocols to minimize disruption to operations.

Ideal candidates hold an HVAC/R or Plumbing diploma, IOSH Safety certificate, and at least three years in pump repair, with good English skills. UAE driving license is desirable; local site work is required.

Qualifications

• Industrial Training Institute Diploma in HVAC & Refrigeration or Plumbing.
• IOSH Working Safely certificate or equivalent.
• UAE driving license desirable.
• Minimum three years of experience in pump repair or a similar environment.
• Good spoken and written English.

Responsibilities

• Carry out preventive, corrective and breakdown maintenance on various pumps, individually or in a team.
• Follow safety instructions and conform to site policies and procedures.
• Set up and interpret test equipment, including manometer and pressure test kits, to verify performance.
• Inspect pumps and piping systems, perform condition-based maintenance and make modifications as needed.
