Job summary

Edge Group in Abu Dhabi is seeking an Assistant Technician, Weapon Production to support daily weapon assembly and cleaning on the production floor, working with Technicians and the Weapon Production Supervisor to ensure safety, quality and timely completion.

This role requires hands-on production work, following SOPs, keeping tools and parts organized, and coordinating with Production, Quality, Planning and Maintenance teams to support continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• High School qualification or equivalent.
• Basic knowledge of manufacturing, production, or mechanical processes.
• Ability to follow technical instructions, SOPs, and safety procedures.
• Basic computer literacy.
• Good communication skills in English.

Responsibilities

• Handle, organize, and stage parts, tools, trays, and materials.
• Follow SOPs, work instructions, quality standards, and HSE requirements.
• Monitor product quality and report defects or non-conformities.

• Assist with inventory checks and ensure required materials and tools are available.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
• Coordinate with Production, Quality, Planning, and Maintenance teams as required.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Assistant Technician, Weapon Production supports daily weapon assembly and cleaning activities within CARACAL’s Weapon Production Department. The role works closely with Technicians and the Weapon Production Supervisor to ensure production activities are completed safely, efficiently, and in line with required quality standards and SOPs.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Good communication skills in English.
• Ability to work in a hands-on production environment and meet operational deadlines.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Previous hands-on experience in assembly, manufacturing, production, or cleaning operations.
• Exposure to small weapons, weapon assembly/cleaning, or mechanical assembly is preferred.
• Familiarity with hand tools, components, and production equipment.
• Basic understanding of quality control and production processes.
• Arabic language skills would be an advantage.
